Welcome to School Project One, a blog created to share my journey in learning information technology and developing skills for a future career in the field. This space is designed to document what I am studying, reflect on key concepts, and practice explaining them in clear, beginner-friendly language.
Background and Experience.
I have been steadily gaining experience with fundamental IT tools and practices. Through coursework, I have worked with Python programming, using IDLE and Visual Studio Code to write scripts and build small projects. I have also used terminal commands like ping and traceroute to understand how data moves across a network. In addition, I have explored Blogger as a publishing platform, Scratch for block-based programming, and Microsoft Office applications for writing, data management, and presentations. Each of these experiences has given me practical insight into how technology connects, automates, and supports everyday problem-solving.
Career Aspirations.
My career goal is to begin in an entry-level IT support or systems role where I can strengthen my troubleshooting skills and contribute to solving real-world problems. Over time, I hope to advance into roles that emphasize automation, security, and system reliability.
What I Hope to Gain.
From this course of study, I hope to sharpen my technical vocabulary, improve my ability to think critically about IT solutions, and build a portfolio of work that demonstrates progress. By reflecting on labs, projects, and research here, I aim to connect theory with practice and prepare myself for the challenges of an IT career.
